Interactive Pac-Man Save the Date

Interactive Pac-Man Save the Date Card

Goals:
1. Design an interactive save the date that expresses the groom's love of video games.
2. Incorporate engagement photos into card.
3. Somehow get the user to open the card slowly in order for the knot to automatically tie more or less in the middle as the card is opened (ideally right in the middle of the Pac-Man couple :)

Process and thoughts along the way:
1. Front of card - A play on video games loading - instruct user to open slowly. Use 8 bit video game font throughout the entire card.
2. Inside card - Pac-Man game board as background. How to spiff it up? Different textures in the card - Card, ribbon, and Pac-Man circles.
3. Pac-Man bodies: Punch out Pac-Man circles out of yellow card stock, use square punch to cut mouth, use red sharpie to draw Pac-Woman's lips.
4. Back of card - Engagement photo. With love, couple's names.

Reflections:
+ Final card looks fun. "Nice touch with the Pac-Man cut-outs!"
+ The knot ties itself - hooray!

- Pac-Man punches were unnecessary and time-consuming but fun. If in a time crunch, just include them when tracing Pac-Man board in Illustrator for printing of card.

** I do not own/ claim the rights to Pac-Man or anything that looks remotely close to anything found in the game **
